The Glass Castle is a memoir that the author Jeanette Walls recounts of her life from when she was 3 years old. Jeanette Walls and her family had had tough lives, always suffering from poverty, moving to different cities and having no visions for the future. This book have given me huge impacts on my everyday life's behavior, in which now I am being always careful of trying not to waste materials and be thankful with little things that I have. It was very interesting to know that what Jeanette Walls and her family have experienced are all true story, something that I cannot imagine myself being in those situations. This book also has given me knowledge of how one can be self-reliant to oneself, try to stay strong and deal with the harsh situation one is living in. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoy reading non- fiction stories because personally I think that the life experience that Jeanette Walls recounts to readers in this book is fascinating and very unique.
