Higher browed than it might seem. Well-written, excellent structure, well-researched, and well-cited. Highly recommended. This book explores self-control and self-discipline. The author uses some great examples, psychological research, contemporary psychology, as well as modern and classicist philosophy to illustrate and tie together his points. I already want to read it again, and I've cited it in conversations several times since.
