Blah, I hate to admit I read this book because it was trashy, and I almost made the decision not to even finish it. But the series, like this stupid book, pulled me in and now I feel compelled to read the rest of it, like with the Twilight ones. (How can this be more embarrassing than that??)

Really though, in the first book, I saw McCafferty as clever and entertaining, in the second one, it was waning, and the third was just ridiculous. I would give it one star because she was trying way too hard and I found the content simply obnoxious, but clearly it was provoking enough for me to finish it and now plan to rent the fourth goofy one from the library. I truly don't like Jessica, but I am curious how the story ends, I guess. Book 3 was way over the top, and if McCafferty doesn't reign it in in book four, I'm done with it...I hope! Ahh!

Shellie, I'd be interested to hear more of your thoughts on the first two if you have time to write a review. Also, so not YA fiction, imo.
