With Lyndi Crisdean and Alek Trevian in Written in Blood, Elaina Lee has brought us two people you can’t help but die to find out what is going to happen to them -- well-rounded, likeable and real. With a successful career as a defense attorney, the last thing Lyndi needs is to fall for Alek, the handsome, high-powered investigator for the prosecution, especially when she has the serial murder case of a lifetime to defend.

The sexual heat between the two lovers soars, and deadly questions arise. Will Lyndi become the next sacrificial victim of a cult that seems somehow connected to her serial murder case? Or can Alek discover the truth in time to save her? How will they handle the devastating consequences if their love affair becomes public? I found the way Elaina Lee brings it all down to the wire at the end quite gripping. Terrified by the men stalking her, Lyndi is also faced with having to choose between the love of her life or destroying her career.

The last few chapters had me flipping my kindle pages at light speed to find out what would happen. Written in Blood has it all -- great cover, great title, and fantastic writing. Don’t believe Elaina if she tells you her stories aren’t hot either. The sexuality in this will have you reading with your feet in buckets of ice. Phew.

If it wasn't for the limited 5 star system, I'd have ranked it higher, like 4.75!
