This book is AMAZING for teaching children about "word choice." You can call them "spicy" words, "wow" words, "better" words, or "fancy" words. Little girls especially love this story. The illustrations are also MARVELOUS. It looks sparkly and frilly on the outside, but you can use this book to teach a whole class (including boys) about "fancy" words and how fun they can be.
