Written in a contemporary style which was more challenging for me to read. This one deserves a second reading. Shows the life of a small town-including people, animals, and plants. Descriptive writing without be verbose. Interesting insertion of police activity on various days, which could be another way to view this book.

I only gave it 3 stars which might be a little unfair. This book was more difficult for me to read (as I mentioned) but I would recommend it as a 'different' type of read for regular book readers.
