** spoiler alert **
I think my problem with Tantalize, which is a very good book, was that I expected too much. Thing is, I don't know what I was expecting. But it didn't take long for me to figure out the really obvious plot twist that eluded our heroine for most of the book. Which was a big problem. I'm still not sure if the vampire aspect was meant to be such a big surprise, or if she was intended to be so oblivious to Henry. Either way it was frustrating to the point that had I not been in the ER with nothing better to do, I might've thrown the book across the room, screaming.
Honestly, who didn't get that the wine was spiked? That Henry was turning her with each glaringly obvious glass of wine? I was a teeny bit surprised that her uncle had been turned, but that was mostly because after awhile all the various vampire rules in different books begin to cross and you're not sure who is playing by what set of rules.
On the other hand, it was set up beautifully.
