really liked it

Not quite as much the Nixon psycho-biography I was hoping for. Still, it's a decent survey of Nixon's life and the milieu in which he lived and worked. Goes into a lot of details of the turmoils of the '60s- Kent State, '68 Democratic Convention, etc., but does not get into the depths about Nixon or the Southern Strategy that I really expected. It did give details on the attempt on George Wallace's life that were new to me. Best part of the book is its reference to Gary Wills' Nixon Agonistes which I am reading now.
