This book is a lot of fun to read. Horowitz hangs out with Civil War re-enactors, Daughters of the Confederacy, and others who are obsessed with the Civil War in the contemporary South. An interesting and sometimes humorous investigation of the lingering mark of that war and era. Also see Blue Latitudes.
