First Review: 4 Stars

This graphic novel drew me in from the start. In a world overrun by zombies, a small group of survivors must figure out how not only to survive the zombies who want to turn them into lunch, but also other survivors who want to re-create the society that has been lost using their own rules.

Apocolyptic tales are intriguing to me and this one does not let down. The graphic novel is a great format for showing a zombie tale--since their brains don't work they can't exactly present a clear narrative so pictures are a great way to tell their tale.

Second Review: May 2014, 5 stars

Really enjoyed re-reading the compendium. I am still impressed by the depth of the storytelling and the 3-dimensional characters. Even though this thing weighs about half a ton, I'm thinking of purchasing it for future re-readings.
