I should have known by the cover of this book, what kind of read it was going to be. Some people would call this a good "beach" read, but I would ask, Why would you want to ruin your vacation by reading this book?

What annoys me is that some authors will take serious subject matter and bat it around lightly and make it seem silly and frivilous. This book has a young mother of two with lung cancer, a professor recently fired for having an affair with a student, a pregnant young woman whose husband is having an affair with a co-worker and a collage age boy deeply in love with this pregnant woman. The tone of the book just makes it all seem unrealistic.

I did some serious speed reading through this book.

Edith Thanks for the review. I will steer clear of this author now, although I see her books all over the place. It must be because they are frothy reads.

Rhoda I am actually amazed that you could finish the book. Sounds like an author I will stay away from. Thanks for the review.
