    <body><![CDATA[Don't start here -- start with book one, because though the books are selfcontained, this 'verse reads best in order -- but this is urban fantasy chick lit of the finest caliber. The heroine's got a distinctive, clear voice, parts of it are funny enough that Sarah and I, over dinner, will snort and then read entire paragraphs out loud, and Briggs' revisioning of traditional urban-faerie denizens such as werewolves, vampires, and fae are just familiar enough to be comfortable, while also carrying some entertaining surprises.]]></body>
