This is short, sweet, romance story about a young, forbidden love between an innocent and extremely sheltered young woman and an American GI about to ship out anyday. (It's WWII)

Meagan is the girl and Ryan is the guy. Meangan's dad has something against all men in uniform and the as the story unfolds, there's a moral to it that you can't judge an entire group of people by the action's of one.

Nevertheless, it is WWII and on top of having to keep her relationship a secret, Meagan must also deal with worrying about her man overseas.

I was in the mood for short stories today and this was what I needed. It was a bit predictable at times though and I would have liked more developement of the romance at one point. It seems they went straight from meeting in the soup kitchen to making love by the lake. However, it is intended to be a short story.

Funny moment: The "What would Clark do?" Read it and find out what I mean..
