Winchesters and the St. James have been on the opposite sides for long. Best way to win a battle is to forge a relation between two clans or so was what the King believed.

So Nathan, Marquess of St. James got married to Sara and signed a contract stating that who so ever breaks the contract looses “the gift”- land and treasure (Nathan got the land when he married Sara and will get the Treasure when Sara produces an heir) to the opposite clan.
The catch here is that the bride was four years old.

Fourteen Years later….
One way or another, legal or nay, he would collect his bride. There were only six weeks left before Nathan would be in true violation of the marriage contract.
So he collects his bride by kidnapping her, unaware of the fact that she was waiting for her husband to collect her for so long.

What follows is an interesting story. From Sara setting Nathan’s ship on fire to fighting the pirates. From Nathan’s blind fury to Sara’s blind faith in her husband.

Nathan is an interesting character. He wants trust but can’t give. He wants love but won’t give any. He is stubborn, proud, brave & caring.

Sara on the other hand is innocent, sweet, caring and believes the best in everyone. She is the only one who can provoke fury and care in Nathan at the same time.

The character portrayal is really good. There are moments in the story where you will seriously laugh like anything. It’s a one time read but an interesting one.
