This is a thoight provoking book--but not overly persuasive. It makes an argument that television acts somewhat like a drug, narcotizing viewers. A pop kind of work.

Clif Hostetler The same can be said for reading books. (I'm referring to the drug like qualities of escapism.)

message 3: by Julia (new) - added it

Julia not having read the book yet I have to say TV is addicting and mesmerizing for me. I'm glad to be entertained by it but honestly I'd be more productive withoutit.
