Makes a great case for the need to have a well-educated public and a highly intelligent, somewhat Machiavellian president.
I agree with the author that we need to stop getting involved in military quagmires overseas that are both unnecessary, unwinnable and a huge drain on our economy. We need to think strategically and be pro-active not reactive. Improve our country first through investing in better education and greater emphasis on technological development rather than nation-building overseas and chasing the elusive terrorist.
