Fall of Giants by Ken Follett is the biggest book I have ever read in both ways.

It's an enourmous cativating and very-well told tale. His style of writting is supberb. He shows all the prespectives on the first world war, and you finally understand what these people lived through.
How was it to live in 1910´s? By reading this you will feel like you were there. The political circumstances and war strategies, the trenches and the affairs of the people who fight and died for their country, all of this is explained and fully acomplished by the writter.

Ken FOllet knows how to write! Definatily
