Em and Dex. Dex and Em.

I loved the premise of this book, the same day, every year. Sometimes they are together, sometimes they aren't even speaking. I felt a kinship to Emma, I can identify with a woman who feels like she's on the fringes of her own life at times. The author did a wonderful job of creating Emma - especially her inner thoughts towards couples, marriage, children and her place in the world. The last few chapters made me a bit weepy.

This was a light, but not fluffy, read. Perfect for traveling, with nice breaks throughout each chapter.
