A great conclusion to a great series. James Luceno, who is certainly not my favorite Star Wars writer, but may soon be, serves up a conclusion to the NJO series that has explosive action, near deaths of our favorite Star Wars characters, and interesting twists. He then ends it with a touching tribute to both Chewbacca, the Wookie co-pilot of the Millenium Falcon who died in the first book of the series, Vector Prime, and Anakin Solo, the youngest son of Han & Leia Solo who died in the book, Star by Star. There were, however, a couple of thin plotlines throughout that I felt were developed unnecessarily which were boring to say the least, especially when compared to the main storyline: the fall of the Yuuzhan Vong. I also really liked how the war came to a reasonably believable end (this is science fiction, after all) and explained why the fighting came to such a swift end. Good work.
