I had hopes that this book was going to be good (as I try not to have too high expectations) and I wasn't disappointed. The Goddess Test was a very good book. I haven't really read any other books based on Greek mythology and I found it to be quite fascinating.
Kate is an 18 year old girl who has to look after her very ill mother. Her Mothers last wish is that she wants to move back to her hometown of Eden. So here Kate has start a new school where she knows nobody but surprisingly she quickly makes friends and has a life changing experience. Here, she also meets the dark and mysterious Henry who offers her a deal - he will keep her mother alive while she aims to pass seven tests that if she does she would become Henry's wife.
I actually quite liked the characters in this book. They were interesting and unique. Kate, in my opinion, was a strong and brave character. I really liked Henry..Hes Hades! Hes unlike the kinda Hades I've heard of though (The Disney one..lol!). He was a really interesting character and I enjoyed reading about him - him and Kate especially! I liked how the relationship between them developed.
Overall, The Goddess test was a very good book that captivated me and kept me interested as I really wanted to know how things would turn out. Its fast paced, has plot twists and is just..really good!
