This wonderful Mother Goose book has around 200 different rhymes that children will enjoy. The language in the rhymes is often times outdated, but enjoyable nonetheless. There was a simple, yet colorful picture to go along with each rhyme. Also helpful was that a first line index is provided in the back of the book. Many children will often have favorites, so with the index, the favorite rhyme can easily be found. This book was enjoyable, but not my favorite. As a mother, I read to my son everyday. He wants me to read books to him in their entirity, so this version is a little to lengthy. I choose Mother Goose books that have less rhymes so that I can read the book and several other books in one sitting. This book was delightful though.
