This is a series I found on Cem's bookhideout. Another established series with a few books already published for me to have a go at.

Really loved it, a nice start. The main character Mac grows at such a rapid rate by the end of this book, she is so different from the superficial southern belle we meet at the beginning. A lovely key character who finds herself in such a complicated world that she knows nothing of. She has to deal with tragedy, the unknown and a great deal of mystery just to survive, literally!

Crime, The Fae of the Seelie and Unseelie variety, Vampires and others - this has it all and MacKayla thought them the world of fiction.

A definite under current is steaming away with her mentor, the other main character Jericho Barrons. I'm looking forward to the complicated developments!

I moved straight onto the 2nd book with the wonders of Kindle Whispernet!
