I was surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this book - because right from the start I wasn't quite feeling it. The main story picked up steam very quickly and even though we know who the killer is from right about the start, we don't know why he is doing what he is doing. The suspense kept building...and then the ending was a little bit of a letdown. I felt like it sort of stopped and then the epilogue was supposed to smooth over the abruptness - but I could have used an extra chapter or two before the epilogue. Overall it was still enjoyable. This was my first standalone of James Patterson and I was pleased.
4 out of 5 for the story
Audiobook Impressions
I thought this narrator was very good. He kept the emotion in his voice for the feelings that were being conveyed and he had very convincing voices for the different characters - even the women. I could almost see the scenes in my head because of the way the narrator made me feel.
4.5 out of 5 for the audio.
