The main character, Samson, suffers amnesia after brain tumor surgery and is left only with memories prior to adulthood – in other words, preceding his marriage and career. He tends to act impulsively, as a child might, and tries to recreate his past before taking steps to build his future. Poignant; good book, but not amazing --more of a 3.5 rating than a 3.
