did not like it

I received this book from the publisher to review it. I didn't like the book and only skimmed the last 1/3 of it. I do recognize that adoptees have many unanswered questions about their origin, but the main character was obsessed with it. He did find out in an unusual manner that really shook the foundation of who he thought he was, but he was a weak, uninteresting character to begin with. I found the author's style of telling the story to be confusing - each chapter took place at a different time in the main character's life. There seemed to be a lack of continuity in the story line. Perhaps some would really like this book for it's emotional and psychological study of the main character but I found it boring.
