LOVE!!!!!!!! I think I loved this one the most. I related to Evie the most, which was silly really, because I'm way more like Jana from Your Planet or Mine?. I have something a soft spot for reformed bad guys and Reef was the ultimate reformed bad guy. Moreover, I love bad guys who are 'bad guys' because of other people's actions - they break my heart. Watching Reef become human again, and then fall in love with Evie was just brilliantly executed. The whole 'love at first sight' between two people who at face value could not have been more different was all the more endearing - they complimented each other just perfectly. There are definite Star Trek elements to this story (Reef's journey back to humanity reminds me a lot of Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Voyager even if his journey is much more accelerated than her's was) but it never feels dodgy, or swiped, and frankly I don't think there's enough people out there who both read scifi/rom/coms and watch Star Trek for it to matter! Long live the Jaspers, I hope they have many more adventures! (and I would really like Grant to write a few more stories about AFTER the happily ever after - that's always more interesting in my opinion!
