so far...
i'm disappointed.
i feel its language is too simple...
it's hardly holding my attention, but i'm waiting
and waiting for it to bite me.

2/12/08:
i was wrong: this book rocks.
for many years now i have been examining
this exact approach to life
and tolle's genius is that he uses language in a way
that most (i hope) can relate to.
releasing egotistical impulse is a major KEY to joy.

consider relationships:
as soon as we begin to find ourselves attaching
(relying on the external joy the other offers)
the very gifts to that connection start to disappear.

i often wonder
if what we refer to as .traditional relationships.
can really work
(or are useful at this point in society).

i strongly feel self-realized purpose is VITAL
but
from what i see
interwoven relationships often use control
as a means of .self. security.

how are we supposed to find our true selves
when an external source is asking for us to do otherwise?
hmmm....
