In the final book in the series, we meet Meg and Calvin's oldest daughter, Polly. We also get a chance to get to know Meg's parents much better. Polly, spending time with her grandparents to increase her science education. In the meantime, she gets sucked into a time vortex 3000 years earlier and almost gets herself sacrificed, due to the selfish actions of a potential suiter.

This book contained more religious imagry than the other books in the series, which I enjoyed. It was a nice way to round out this series.
