This book was very informative. It was obviously written to go along with a course, but as a standalone it was still helpful to read. It did get a little "crunchy" at times but for the most part it really made a lot of sense, as far as letting your body follow its own course during labor and delivery. The one thing that the author said (repeatedly) that bothered me was something that seems rather central to hypnobirthing. It was about "breathing your baby down" and how animals in nature don't push to get the baby out. They do, though. I am not sure if Mongan has ever seen an animal give birth, but the mice I've seen definitely pushed to get the babies out. I am definitely going to put the methods discussed to use, and hopefully they will help me achieve the childbirth experience I want(in conjunction with the Hypnobabies homestudy course) but I think it will be more of another method to use rather than the only method I use.
