it was amazing
bookshelves: must-read-series, favorites
Read from February 17 to 18, 2011

It took me forever in this book to not hate the hero, Declan Chase aka Aiden the Fierce. This is an anomaly for me because I'm usually pro male characters. The heroine Regin the Radiant was fantastic. Gotta love those kick ass Valkyries. There's is a long and turbulent history and through over 500 pages they fight to finally establish a future for themselves. The bloodshed and conflict are plentiful, and plot twists are many. My favorite villain, Lothaire the enemy of old, plays a major part. Could not put this book down, even though through the most part of it, I was thinking, kill Declan. When he inevitably has his breakthrough, of course I wanted everything to work out for him, RIGHT NOW!!! I will absolutely reread this book many times, because I'm sure there are nuances I missed as I flew through it in the first read. Loooooved it. As always Kresley Cole knows how to grab a reader and not let go.

I wish, but Loth's book is next and on the interview I read of Cole's she said Nix would be toward the end. *pouts* They would have been awesome together!
