Feast of Fools (The Morganville Vampires, #4)

So, for some reason I keep reading the next book in the series, even though I havent been remotely satisfied since the beginning. Each book, so far, has been anti-climatic, lacking direction with vague plot lines. The characters are undeveloped and one-dimensional. And to this point, the author has offered us absolutely no description of the main character Claire!! What does she look like? It was referenced in book 4 that she has short hair. Huh, short hair, since when? Is she tall/short, eye color, hair color, body size, etc. WHO is she besides the supposedly smart girl? How is the reader supposed to connect with a character, develope a mental image of them without a description? Unless you consider the constant references to her supposed "intellegence". Stop telling us she is sooo smart and then continue to put her in the most idiodic situations, saying and doing equally idiodic things. I just feel the author is not a very talented writer. She came up with an interesting back story, but has missed big time on delivery. I will not be reading the next book and most definitely do not recommend this series.
