Golem is definitely a scary book! It's illustrations are frightening, but beautiful and realistic. It is about Jews in the Prague Village and their struggle with the monster "Golem." It is a good story-line that really shows the fear and struggles of the people, which could be used in teaching any kind of lessons about prejudices and struggles of groups of people. The illustrations are awesome, they are made out of cut up paper shapes, which really gives it texture and life. A good, meaningful read for older elementary school children.
