I'm curious about this one Mark. Any lead lady in mind? I was thinking of auditioning but I haven't read the whole thing so not even sure I'd be appropriate. However, if they have someone in mind I'll save my ego....

Hallo Everyone,
I've been busy, so I've just started reading again. Mercury Players (the theatre company I've been associated w/ most over the past 10 years or so) held a competition for a new work to produce and attracted hundred of scripts. "Celeste and Starla Save Todd and Win Back the Day" was the winner. It's by the Portland playwrite, Francesca Sanders. This play is magnificent. I know that most of you have noticed that the plays I work on tend to be in the murder and misery camp. This one is different. It's an absurdist comedy fantasia. Imagine a surrealist Nancy Drew in a play written by Salvador Dali and starring the Marx Bros. It's hilarious, bizarre and relentless. It's gonna open in June, so come see it. I adore this play.
It's been nice to come back to theatre. Now that "the Pillowman" has finished it's run, I've just gotta say that it was great to come back to theatre w/ a show such as that. It's extremely rare to be part of a s...more
