When Bridgitte is dumped by her boyfield of 6 years, and is replaced by a computer on her job of 10 years, she decides to help her mother in her search of the family genealogy, where she runs into some information on a French Marquis ancestor who married Wachiwi, a lovely Sioux, daughter of a chief. The search into this intriguing American Indian takes Bridgitte first to Salt Lake and then to Paris, France. This part of the story segues into the story of Wachiwi and how she ended up in France. I found this to be one of the better Danielle Steel books. I enjoyed it very much.
