really liked it

This book, at 600 pages, is what convinced me to purchase a nook. Its heaviness, on my ample third trimester belly, turned me digital.

CJ Sansom writes really good historical mysteries. Sansom has an amazing eye for detail. His books are scrupulously researched. Matthew Shardlake, his hunchback lawyer protagonist, never does or says anything to place him outside 16th century England. Sometimes, the conclusions are a bit of a reach and cause the reader to suspend disbelief. However, they are so well-written, the ending is always worth the read.
