The Haunted Hotel (Popular Penguins)
by Wilkie Collins
by Wilkie Collins
I didn't engage with this book at all. I found the characters were two dimensional and unsympathetic. For me the story was insubstantial. It got better towards the end but I would't call it a triumph. I haven't read any other Wilkie Collins, and I'm disappointed this was the novel Penguin decided to publish- i am reluctant to read more of his work.

I don't like any of the characters and the plot so far is stagnant and the product of heresay. i hope it gets better." |
