this is the reason i hate historical fiction so much. i mean, okay, this isn't the best example, but it takes like two actual facts and then "creates" the character of hitler as seen through the eyes of his niece. it's entirely speculative, and i'm serious when i say there are two real facts in there. i'm all for reading between lines and stuff, but this was so off on - well, everything, that it did nothing but anger me and feel sorry for the real niece.
