First off, it was extremely funny to be reading about what the author considered "hi tech computers" thirty years after he wrote it. We have seriously come a long way since then in communications, and this whole book would have been written differently if it was written now. :P Second, the story was good, mixed in with so many facts that I had to pause a few times to think whether I was reading fiction or an actual account. Once again in this story, the greed of man destroys what was formerly perserved in nature. The only fault I had with this books was the use of Jesus's name as a curse word; I'm never fine with that, regardless of how many times I hear it. And also the ending was a bit drawn out, with more attention given to the volcano than I thought should be.
