Rather than hearing Zulaikha's story, I often felt like there was a agenda being pushed. I couldn't get past the idea of the "good" Americans coming in to rescue this poor girl. However, the cultural hardships faced by Zulaikha and her family were authentically portrayed, and all the extras were appreciated: author's note, glossary, pronunciation guide, further reading.
