In the Summer of 1959, Sally and Troo practically raised themselves. Their mother was in the hospital, their 18-year old sister was wrapped up in her own life and their drunken step-father was busy with his girlfriend. There is a murderer and molester on the loose. He already claimed two victims in their Milwaukee neighborhood.
I enjoyed every page of this book. It was a bit of a mystery/thriller and with touches of humor and innocence.
The mention of Samson brought back memories for me. We use to visit him in the early 70's.
