Story of a girl who I had no connection with as she was horrible - not sure if that was what the author wanted but it certainly made me feel that way. Still I couldn't put it down and had to read to end. Was really put off by how women were treated second class and as sex toys but I guess that's how life was in that era. Was also put off by how the lords wife in the book hated the main character then they were having sex and she wanted her to move in with her...what!!! Wouldn't recommend this and it won't be a book i'm keeping...will ut in the book swap bin at work or perhaps a friend who really want's to waste time. Reason I gave it two stars was the story was good at first (then it went into all kinds of crazy) and it wasn't all that bad as I did finish it.
