Read in February, 2011

Pack of Lies begins a few months after Hard Magic, and there's a lot of action right from the beginning.

This time PUPI is investigating an attempted rape and this really disturbs Bonita since she's so open about her sexuality and she can't understand how some people can use sex to hurt. For some time she became really paranoid around men, wich I totally understood (heck I would be even more paranoid).

What should have been an easy case got to be more complicated them they expected. Things start getting ugly between Talent and Fatae and they have to solve the case before things escalate even futher.

I liked the way Bonnie's and Venec's relationship is developing, it's slow but it fit but I really hope it sparks more in the next book (damn, I want to see some more action between these two)

I also like how the group relationship is developing, I liked the way the puppies interacted between themselves but also how they interacted with the big dogs.

Overall I liked this book way better than the first, Hard Magic's pace was really slow and sometimes it frustrated me, and Pack of Lie's case was really hard to brake (for me) it got me wondering what the hell was happening, what was the truth and at the end I was sad and tired too.

I hope the 3rd book gets out this year
