Wowzers, this book has changed some of the notions I've had on food. Notably, the importance of fat in our diet, dairy in it's raw form, meat. The author borrows a lot of her ideas from the cookbook Nourishing Traditions, but a lot of it is based on her own experience and research. The book is full of facts/studies/dare I say proof on the topics of the health of grass fed beef, free range eggs/chicken, lard/butter and of course veggies.

The main reason that this book receives four and not five stars it that some of the section are overly detailed. There is so much information that it took several rereads to unpack what was stated and sometimes I still was not sure.
