SCANDAL IN SPRING (Romance/Historical-England-Regency) - G+
Kleypas, Lisa – 4th in Wallflower series
Avon Historical Romances, 2006, US Paperback – ISBN:0060562536

American Daisy Bowman has spent three seasons in London looking for a suitable husband. Now her father has issued an ultimatum that she has until the end of May or must marry his choice; Mathew Swift, her father’s assistant. Daisy remembers Mathew as awkward, tall, disproportionate and wiry with no grace or charm. The reality turns out to be considerably different.

Kleypas is one of my favorite romance authors. Daisy is a delightful character, fanciful and rather fey but with a solid core. She is surrounded by a wonderful family, even her strong-willed father. It’s unrealistic and predictable, but it’s a romance. It is sexy and fun with just a touch of suspense. It was the perfect book for a dark, cold, rainy day.
