Read in January, 1983 — I own a copy, read count: twice

Hilarious, insightful, insulting and infuriating, "Class" is a look at a subject most Americans would rather not think about. I first read this when it was published in 1983 and recognized myself as coming from the middle class. The only drawbacks are that some of the analysis is a bit dated, and Fussell is a bit too mean spirited in parts.
