This may be a perfect example of why a person should be really careful about reading books out of order in a series. Unfortunately I had picked up Smooth Talking Stranger (book 3) on a whim and liked it so much I went back to read the first two. Bad idea. Of course in book 3 you already know who the couples are so when I first started to read this I was completely confused and seriously irritated. So I put it down and read Blue-Eyed Devil (book 2) instead. It took me awhile to even bother to come back to this one. For the first 1/3 or so of the book I just skimmed through it. I don't like love triangles on a good day and in certain cases they will put me off a book completely...I'm not sure knowing how it would end made it better or worse. Liberty was an ok character, Hardy was great in the beginning but I found his actions later in the book a little hard to believe and I never felt like I got to know Gage at all other than he was "intense", good looking and jealous. *shrug* Just not my kind of book I guess but I've read a lot of her other stuff and really liked it so it's not as if this one book has put me off her forever.
