All romance novels drag on and on, even though the endings are always obvious. The woman ends up with the first eligible (and usually proud, unpleasant and rich) man introduced in the story. Always. And they quarrel until the last 1/4--maybe 1/3 of the book. Always. This book was no different from any other historical romance. Just as unbelievable as well. At one point, Lady Eleanor prances around naked on a dark balcony to tantalize the Duke--also sharing the balcony. Neither have ever been married, and they were not attached at the time.
