Why Don't Students Like School?: A Cognitive Scientist Answers Questions about How the Mind Works and What It Means for the Classroom

This book is awesome! The content is presented in an easy-to-read format, which will help the reader remember the information. That's the whole point of the book, after all! I found this book especially enjoyable as well, because it puts learning in the context of cognitive psychology, and it debuncts some of the myths about learning and intelligence. The author also places a great deal of emphasis on background knowledge, which I think is a very important point that most of us don't really think about. Context and cognition are the key words to remember from this book. I will definitely be reading it again in the future.
