Winner of Canada Reads 2011! I'd had this sitting on my shelf for a year or so and pulled it out to read during Canada Reads. I loved Fallis' take on Canadian politics. This book was insightful, and hilarious. And I loved the bits about speaking English correctly. The part where the main character is "named" in the House of Commons for calling a colleague a liar is SO funny!!! Americans might enjoy this glimpse into a parliamentary political system (so different from their own system!) and Canadians will love the exploration, through humour, of what is right and what is wrong with our political system.
