Well, so far this book makes me want to die while vomiting. Patently unoriginal and laden with cliches, this book is about a romance between 2 people in their thirties who have the emotional development of teenagers. The characters' thoughts and behaviors are trite, predictable & almost always stereotypical. This book is a Harlequin romance packaged as literature, except not as good.

Amy I laughed out loud when I saw your comment. I read "The Notebook" because a there was so much said about it. It was horrible, I just don't understand why someone would like this book. Nothing happened!! Sounds like Sparks likes Harlequin!

Linda Visser I also laughed out loud! That's about how I felt too. Tooo funny!

Willa I loved the Notebook, it is an accurate portrayal of the progression of a relationship affected by Alzheimers..

At First Sight sounds unnecessarily sad so I won't read it. Enough real sadness in relationships...
Message in a Bottle did me in. People die... but I don't want to read about it in my romance novels. I do love his writing but I find out if people die before i read it.. works for me.

Christy Wynne Thanks for the confirmation.... it's going right back to the thrift store it came from. I tried, but there's no way I can get through this one.
